Deadline: Sept. 30, 2025

Help shape the future of our parks! If you missed the recent Parks Open House, there's still time to participate in the survey and provide your input on desired amenities and improvements. Your feedback is vital in making sure our parks serve the community effectively. Last year, 65% of residents expressed a desire for additional recreational facilities, highlighting the need for community input.

New Berlin Festival

Date: Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025 | Time: 12 PM – 7 PM

Celebrate North Canton’s rich German heritage at the New Berlin Festival! This Oktoberfest-style event will feature a lively biergarten serving a variety of local brews, along with over 30 local vendors showcasing handmade crafts and delicious food options. Enjoy family-friendly contests like the stein-holding competition, and take part in traditional dances. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet your neighbors and engage with our vibrant community.

Chick-fil-A Grand Opening

Date: Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025

Location: 1535 N. Main St., North Canton

The community is excited to welcome a tasty new addition to our dining scene! Stop by the grand opening of Chick-fil-A near Applegrove & Main at 10 AM for special promotions. Be among the first to try their famous chicken sandwiches, and enjoy some community giveaways. This is not just a chance to taste delicious food, but also to support a new local business.

North Canton Chocolate Walk

Date: Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025 | Time: 1 PM – 4 PM

Satisfy your sweet tooth at the North Canton Chocolate Walk! Enjoy a delightful stroll down Main Street where local businesses will hand out signature chocolate treats as part of this ticketed event. Last year, over 300 chocolate lovers participated, making it a fun way to discover new shops while enjoying delicious treats.

YMCA Skelebration Celebration

Date: Thursday, Oct. 31

Join the North Canton YMCA for a free, family-friendly Halloween event! The Skelebration Celebration provides a safe and fun trick-or-treating experience filled with games, costumes, and more. Remember to help “feed the Y’s Candy Monsters” by donating candy ahead of the event—look for Hungry Harold in the City Hall lobby!

Beyond these exciting events, the City of North Canton and the North Canton Area Chamber of Commerce are committed to fostering community engagement and development. The Parks Survey is just one example of how residents can play an active role in shaping our local parks and recreational spaces.

Catherine Farina-Molnar emphasizes the importance of community input. “We want to ensure that our parks reflect the needs and desires of our residents. Last year, about 500 people participated in surveys, and their feedback led to the addition of new playgrounds and walking trails,” she states. “Your input is invaluable.”

Erica Riley and Santana Lopez also emphasize the role of local businesses in supporting community events. “The partnership between the Chamber of Commerce and local businesses is essential for creating vibrant events like the New Berlin Festival and the Chocolate Walk,” Erica notes. “These events not only celebrate our culture but also boost our local economy.”
